Nikon 35mm 1.8 dx

I find this a much more usuable focal length for street photography with a crop sensor camera, as it lets you get in more of the surroundings when capturing a scene.

The lens has great sharpness even wide open, and improves slightly at 2.8, where it stays tack sharp til f/11.

It has very accurate and quick focus, even in low light situations it will not hunt. The focus range is so tiny it will focus on everything instantly.

It seems reasonably well made, but its so small its hard to knock. I love the inconspicuousness of the lens, and the way it lends itself to fast paced street shooting.
